Bigelow Tea joins the Head Of The Charles® Regatta as Patron Sponsor

August 22, 2016 – Today, the Head Of The Charles® Regatta announced Bigelow Tea, a family owned and operated tea company, will be a Patron Sponsor for the 52nd Regatta. This is Bigelow Tea’s first appearance at the regatta.

Bigelow Tea, was founded in 1945 by Ruth Campbell Bigelow. Bigelow, unsatisfied with tea options, used an early Colonial recipe to create her own specialty tea, “Constant Comment®.” Over 70 years later, Bigelow Tea, the U.S. industry leader in specialty teas, offers more than 130 different types of tea. To highlight this sponsorship, Bigelow Tea will be showcasing its products at the Weld Exhibition located in between the Lars Anderson Bridge and Weeks Footbridge, Cambridge, MA Saturday through Sunday of Regatta weekend.

Tea drinkers are cordially invited to visit the Bigelow Mobile Tea Bar to sample complimentary cups of Bigelow tea and learn the story of family-owned Bigelow Tea, fascinating lore and tempting flavors of the world’s favorite brewed beverage.

The customized 1977 Airstream trailer that has been retrofitted to welcome the press and public into the friendly, inviting environment of Bigelow Tea for a relaxing experience, to sample teas and taste new products. The fun, informative, interactive Mobile Tea Bar will also offer tea lovers the opportunity to learn about the history and culture of tea, the top quality ingredients that go into American-made, family-crafted Bigelow Teas, and the company’s commitment to sustainability and the community.

Visitors to the Mobile Tea Bar will also have a photo opportunity to share a cup with “Biggie,” Bigelow Tea’s walking mug mascot and #TeaProudly.

About the Head Of The Charles Regatta

Preparing for the 52nd race, the Head Of The Charles Regatta is the world’s largest two-day regatta, attracting more than 11,000 rowers and thousands of spectators to the banks of the Charles River. Racing takes place on Saturday, October 22 and Sunday, October 23, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
