Founded in 1916, the Cambridge Community Foundation (CCF) strives to meet the most vital human service needs of the Cambridge (MA) community. The Foundation's focus is primarily the funding of direct social service programs in the following areas: children and adolescent services, educational services (including the arts), elderly services, family and neighborhood services, housing services, health and mental well-being services, and advocacy and mediation services. Like other community foundations, CCF exists to provide an effective and versatile vehicle for philanthropy by combining and managing charitable donations, and by channeling them to worthy Cambridge-based organizations that respond to community needs. In this way, CCF is a permanent source of financial support and innovative leadership dedicated to the well-being of the people of Cambridge. For more information, call 617-576-9966.

Community Rowing, Inc. (CRI) is the largest public access rowing club in the United States. A volunteer-driven, non-profit educational organization, CRI's mission is to provide people of all ages and abilities with affordable access to the sport of rowing on the Charles River. CRI offers learn-to-row, recreational, competitive, adult and youth programs and includes opportunities for people who have physical disabilities, people with visual or hearing impairments and people with developmental disabilities. CRI provides equipment, instruction, and the safe environment needed for all people regardless of ability to enjoy the sport of rowing. Over 1,500 people row with CRI each year. Membership and program fees are what keep CRI afloat, but CRI is committed to making rowing affordable for anyone who wants to take part. Each year, CRI awards a number of partial or full scholarships based on financial need. Donations to CRI go to support scholarships, special programs and the equipment costs associated with running all of our rowing and sculling programs.
