2009 COXSWAIN TOUR
OCTOBER 15, 2009 COXSWAIN CLINIC UPDATE:
Please note, the River Tour has been moved from Newell Boathouse to Weld Boathouse, just across the river.
COXSWAIN CLINIC FOR STEERING THE HEAD OF THE CHARLES
Learn to strategically approach the obstacles and real race scenarios of the Head Of The Charles Regatta course in the 7th annual "How to Cox the Perfect Head Race" clinic, presented by Yaz Farooq, World Champion and 8-time U.S. National Team cox John Lambert, chief of the Rules and Appeals Committee, and Tom Tiffany, former Race Operations Co-Chair. The clinic will include video examples shot from the coxswain's seat in head racing scenarios, and maps explaining challenging scenarios on the HOCR racecourse. Coxswains, coaches, and rowers steering blind boats are encouraged to attend. Clinic will start on time and will last approximately 90 minutes.

Location: Laviettes Pavilion at Harvard University’s Murr Athletic Center, 65 North Harvard Street, Boston, MA (near Anderson Bridge).

River Tour, Friday October 16th, 2009 2:00 PM
Departs: Weld Boathouse. Returns to FALS.
ALL participants will disembark at the Finish Area Launch Site NOT Newell Boathouse
Preference on the boat will be given to novice coxswains. Parents and returning coxswains and scullers may be asked to stay on shore. Please abide by this request.
Cost $5 (free to clinic attendees).
