Committees

Every year the HOCR crew looks for motivated, enthusiastic volunteers to join our team. Our volunteer sign-up form contains a diverse list of committees that require different skill sets. We created a list of possible options below that match racing/rowing experience to different committees. These are only suggestions. Please take the time to read through our committee descriptions before choosing the one that best matches your abilities!

The operational and logistical details of the Head Of The Charles Regatta are overseen by an 10-member volunteer Race Committee (including two Race Co-chairs). The Race Committee meets year-round to manage over 30 committees in preparation for the next HOCR.

FALS = Finish Area Launch Site. This site is where all trailers carrying eights and fours will park and launch. The Rowing and Fitness Expo and Registration will also be located in this area.

SADL = Singles and Doubles Launch site. Smaller boats will launch from Magazine Beach.
